Tomorrow's Abby's Spay Day

Our Abby gets dropped off at 8am tomorrow morning for her spay. She'll be staying until Tuesday afternoon (I have a Dr appt for myself before I can pick her up). If it were up to me, I'd be fighting to bring her home tomorrow night, but my mother feels much more better about keeping her there overnight. The good thing is that the vet gave me persmission yesterday to bring some raw chicken (boneless) in for her to eat Tues morning if she's hungry.

Oh, it's gonna be a long couple of days without having her home!

Aww - I think it's actually harder on us then it is on them.

Awww...I agree, I think it is harder on us than it is on them. Keep us posted on how she's doing.

Awww! I hope all goes well for Abby and that she has a speedy recovery! And yay for being able to bring her a raw meal!

Thanks guys! I'm really feeling like a big ol pile of dirt today. I felt so bad leaving her there and I'm a natural worrier so everytime my phone rings my stomach turns.

She was so confused this morning when she didn't get her breakfast this morning and she was definitely nervous about being at the vets. They did a pre-op exam and she did great with that. They were going to do pre-op bloodwork too to make sure she can go through the surgery. I haven't heard anything yet and it's been over 3 hours so I'm sure that checked out fine too. She must either be in surgery or out by now just waiting to wake up. When they went to take her from us she almost pulled herself out of her harness. She just did NOT want to go out back with them.

I can't wait to pick her up tomorrow.

Logan was also pretty confused this morning. He normally gets fed at the same time as Abby. He eats on a towel at one side of my room and she's in her crate on the other side. She wasn't in there this morning which threw him off. It took him a good 5-10 minutes before finally eating. I'm sure he'll be off tonight too. I don't think Mason really cares. He watched us leave this morning and was fine. We'll see how he is tonight. At least I'll be able to stay home with all 3 of them Wednesday.

I'll post an update on Abby as soon as I hear something.
