Boxer Bash - so excited!

The local boxer rescue group in my area (Atlanta Boxer Rescue) holds a monthly "Boxer Bash." I have recently joined the group and will be attending with Maggie this Saturday. I'm so excited! She LOVES the dog park, but as many have expressed on here, non-boxer owners don't understand their roughhousing as just the way they play. It will be nice to have other boxers to play with and pet parents that are familiar with how they play and not constantly "breaking up" a boxing match.

Yeah for ya'll!!! I wish we had some in my area. However it is a bit far of a drive to attend yours. LOL

I may look into the ATL Boxer Bash! I live in Newnan, so it's doable for me, too.

Had a great time at the Boxer Bash today! A fight broke out as we walked into the park, but the owners immediately diffused it and put the offender on a leash and walked him out. I was highly impressed! I stopped going to dog parks a long time ago because owners would bring an aggressive dog and let it bully all the other dogs. Many of the boxer parents there today were Atlanta Boxer Rescue volunteers or adoptive parents.

Maggie had not been to a dog park in so long that she was actually timid at first and wouldn't leave my side. She quickly warmed up and made some friends.

This is a monthly meet-up, so I think we will continue to go.

I want to see if Atlanta Boxer Rescue has anything I could help with on weekends as well. I can't really help during the week, but I rarely have to go into the office on weekends.
