Boxer Standards

I am new to this forum but I did have some questions that I wanted other peoples opinions on. I know some one who breeds boxers. She truly believes that she has show and breeder quality boxers. In my personal opinion they are not. They do not achieve the standard look at all. Long muzzles, off set ears, and so on. She sold me a boxer and told me that he would be show quality and a great example to use to breed. I will admit I was new to the breeding world and trusted what she had told me, until I had met other breeders and did a ton of research. The puppy that I had purchased is not show quality at all, nor should he be used to breed. It does not bother me as I love him regardless and he would just be a pet only. What bothers me is that she advertises her puppies as breed, show quality and I believe they are not and that she is just misleading people. I did try to talk to her and let her know my thoughts about the puppy that I had purchased and she grew very upset and defensive. She also spoke down to me and said a great deal she really shouldn't have. Mind you none of her boxers have been health tested, and she is breeding a white boxer, which I believe is unethical. I love white boxers, but don't believe they should be bred. I was trying to upload a picture of the boxer that I had gotten from her but It keeps giving me an error. I am not sure what to do and I feel like I was completely mislead and taken advantage of. Any thoughts would be wonderful. Thanks

Upload your pictures to Photobucket then copy and paste the IMG tag. Your "friend" is a BYB through and through. My computer has an issue changing other peoples avatars so I dont trust what I see, but do you have a boxer puppy being held up as your avatar? If so, who is that? If not, then the computer ninjas are playing games on me again

Yes that is my avatar. It is a boxer puppy that i am getting next week. He is my first german boxer. I am super excited about him!!

Thank you I will give that a try. And I just need to state that we are no longer friends.. And to top off all this she had told me that if I wanted to she would allow me to rehome him. That she has first right to refuse him and that if I didn't want him she would take him back with no refund. I told her that was not right as she knew what I was looking for and still mislead me. She truly believes he is breedable and show quality. It is just sad. She then tried to ask me what I would say if she offered me some of what I paid for him would I give him back..I was just appalled. We thought it only fair we would get it back completely. Then she wanted to try and gulit trip me and say well you told me you would be his forever home, and made me feel like I was a bad boxer owner just because I said if we were to return him that we would want all our money back. Mind you he is 9 months old and we have tried everything to try and potty train him...She just really infuriates me and I would never ever recommend her to another person. She believes that she still owns and has a say in the puppies lives that she sells, because she "loves" them so much...maybe it is because she can re sell them for more profit...
