Boo boo owie feelings

I don't know if this has been talked about before here but have any of y'all experienced the hurt/pout/cold shoulder treatment from your boxer? We've never seen anything like this. Our Golden was basically, "yeah, whatever" when scolded. Our little boy is devastated if our voice is even slightly raised and forceful. We've never physcially "checked" any of our pets.

It's crazy. He'll give the most pitiful look then will become attached to whichever party didn't make the offending statement and ignore. He won't be cajoled or won over immediately. After a period he'll warm up again but it's very noticeable.

I just crumble. My husband, not so much. . I was a hot mess with my boys too, but this is something we've never seen or heard of before.

Hi and yes they have that done to a science. LOL Mine do it all the time. My Jaxon turns his head away from us if we tell him no and he pouts until he is good and ready. No worries. LOL

Yes, my girls will pout as well! They don't ignore me, but it's like they try to guilt me into feeling bad for scolding them with the saddest face. Gabby is really dramatic with it. Lol

Sally will gives me the most miserable looks when I tell her no, and she will go and hid behind my husband when I have clipped her nails...
She will also cry on walks when I won't let her go and say hi to every person/dog she sees.

Zeus jumps on the couch and let's out a big sigh like I just ruined his life, and the he looks at me like "yeah.. Feel bad.. You yelled at me..." Little brat. Lol

The thing I love most about boxers is how animated they are! Breezy will lay on her bed, and those big eyes will look over at you (of course without moving her head) and when I glance at her she will look off the other way (without moving her head lol) and let out that sigh. Of course this is normally when she has been sent to her bed lol.

Oh yes the Boxer sigh. The one sound they make that can make you stop and give them all the loving they want. My new pup Flynn grumbles when I give him heck, send him to bed or if I tell him to lay down. It's so funny he's like a child being sent for a time out, and mumbling under his breath.

If I didn't know better, I'd say I've seen Gibby force a few crocodile tears when we won't take him in the Jeep with us. He doesn't care for my truck, but my husband's Jeep is his favorite place. If he sees us going to the garage door, he gets SUPER excited. If we're going somewhere he can't and tell him to go lay down in his bed, he makes a big production of it and is sure to whine really pitifully as we go through the door.

We used to feel guilty and think he was home crying the whole time we were gone until we stood in the laundry room and listened one day. He does that one pitiful cry when we're leaving but when he thinks we're gone he sighs as if to say, "Whatever. You guys suck." and goes to sleep.
