I have been off work with no internet for a few weeks due to shoulder surgery so couldnt post this earlier but the day after I had surgery at 945pm the cat that has been chasing the neighbors small mixed "chew toy " dog around his yard decided to see if he could chase three big dogs around needless to say this rapidly became a disaster my kids were out in the yard when this stupid cat decided to jump the privacy fence into the yard with them and see if he could chase them around they did not see him for the first 30 seconds as I am frantically calling them to come in Bella my Sil lab came right in but the rest of them spotted the cat before they responded to the get in here!! yell I of course am in a sling with no use of my left arm am now frntically caling my OH and daughter to come help the pack headed for the cat who promptly climbed on Brandis head to try to get out of the yard however Buster and Ziggs are having none of that and are trying to get to the cat on Boos head all while the cat is clawing away trying to escape all of this in a yard that is a mud/ poop pool due to the rain we had just had and the non cleaned up yard due to my surgery poor miss boo ended up clawed all over including one eye and badly on one ear and Buster and Ziggs have random scratches and the cat was scared and peed all over all three of them however the cat is going to be ok 3 broken ribs and a two puncture wounds per animial controls vet we had them pick him up since we knew he was a stray but it was off to the vet the next am for Brandi they gave us eye drops for the scratched eye and antibotics for the bad claw sores but now she has developed an Ear hemotoma that may have to be drained how well does that usually work and will it ever heal completly? the vet is saying draining it is a last resort but it is larger than a big marble now with no signs of going down

Poor kitty.... I have had ear hematomas drained on my previous boxer. She had stitches too, but, she healed just fine. Best wishes to you. Hope you are feeling better now too.

Maggie had an ear hematoma. I'm not sure if you can see how the ear tip on her folds down (on my signature). It took a few times aspirating it but it did heal. Now in her case, it made her ear tip flop down (her ears stood up like a GSD). Hoe all your pups are feeling better.
