Awesome lens...it's the next prime lens on my list. And great camera choice! I have the Nikon D800

Thanks! You'll love it! The 85mm f/1.4G is an amazing hunk of glass.

I bought a mint, used D700 until the bugs get worked out on the D600, although the 1/4000 max shutter speed is deal killer. At least, that was the plan, I'm really liking the D700 now. I thought about the D800, like you have but the file sizes are a bit daunting for me. I still might migrate to a D800 or 800E though. The D700, although a lot lower in sensor pixel count, has astonishingly low noise at high ISO settings and stil makes really nice photographs.

For bird & wildlife photography, I use my D7000 and usually with the AF-S 300mm f/4D ED-ID lens and a TC14E II teleconvertor. Another great lens and camera combination!

Awesome! Is this a hobby of yours or do you do some side work?

Photography is awesome and the camera is always nearby

I have the 24-70 lense and that's a hunk of glass at $1800!! Lol.

Just for my own enjoyment.

Congrats on having the 24-70mm f/2.8G! It is a great zoom lens.
