The girls had a long day yesterday and as the title states it was for a mixed bag of reasons.
I noticed a small patch on Bella's chin that the fur went missing on and she has a small growth on the side of he belly right behind her ribcage so of course you know what that meant- that's right a vet visit. The vet did a skin scraping on the patch under her chin and did a needle aspiration or whatever it's called on the growth on her belly to send to the lab. I'm praying its just a cyst and can be lanced off with never having to look back. The patch under the chin turned out to be demodex so I have the brown ointment to treat that and if all goes to plan it'll be healed up in 3 weeks or so and she'll have her fur back in that spot. It didn't show itself anywhere other than that spot and the spot is about the size of a dime. Ruby check out healthy as a horse with not an issue n Bella weighed in at 60lbs and Ruby weighs 63!! Growing girls. Well now for the 2 good parts of their day. They went to the groomers before the vet and they got all sparkly clean- only bad part with the groomers is they are now the 2 trouble clients. They don't like little breeds yapping at them in close quarters it seems. When I got the call they were ready I was getting my taxes done so they were there for an extra 40 minutes or so. I got there and they were both kenneled. Tia the owner said they were stomping the little dogs!!! They also stomp and try to kill the blow dryers!!! She said its actually comical that they have to hold one in front for them to stomp on and dry them with another while they are distracted by the one they're trying to kill. She said if any other dog is getting dried the girls will try to kill the dryer as well like they're trying to save the other dog from the beast. In her exact words---- that's NOT normal lol. Well after the groomers and vets visit as well as the fact that they've been crated a lot lately because of my new job I felt they really needed a treat so I gave them something g they haven't had in a while- a trip to the dog park They had a great time for an hour and a half or so but one owner made in my eyes a stupid decision and brought a ball and chuck it thing when his dog is a lab mix that is OBSESSED with balls and he and ruby got into it a bit because when ruby would go at him to try to get the ball he would defend it at all costs. He's the ONLY dog Ruby ever had a legit issue with at the park. I was always told never bring a dogs toy to the park because it could cause these issues. But all in all it was a great outing for them. Needless to say they were quite tired after the days events. I'm just praying that Bella's lab results come back free and clear of what we all know I fear it could possibly be. |

That was an eventful day! I am praying that the biopsy is B9!!!
I don't go to dog parks because just too much stuff can happen. Usually because owners are either not watching their dogs or think bad behavior is ok. grrrrrrrr! |

Hope the biopsy turns out to be nothing
Sounds like they had a very day indeed. I'm not so sure the groomers should allow them to stomp on the dryer while using another. They are just re-enforcing unwanted behavior. |

Right now they're totally bonkers lol. I've been working with them when I can but a lot of time in the crate has had them regress some. I told my boss I have to cut back in my hours to be home more.
