today was a VW swapmeet, from 6-noon in newport beach. I decided to take stella, and my buddy brought his 11yrold lab Guinness. there were a few others furfriends aswell. and one very old boxer named Baron @ 12yrs. he was a very calm guy, he actually was waggin his butt a bit with stella. the owner was surprised as he is a pretty "grumpy old man". stella was boxing him and he just shrugged it off. stella actually got really loud and aggressive sounding out of know where while boxing his head at one point. the old guy didnt do anything. and i was unsure of why she would have done that... Stella really enjoyed all the attention, being the crazy pup that she is, jumping on everyone (i find it very hard to stop her from this, especially when most of the people are dog people and dont mind and understand shes a puppy...... and a boxer!)
but here are a few pics! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Stella's such a pretty girl. And, that old guy... what a sweet face!
We're still working with Logan on his jumping. He's so bouncy! We now have a no tolerance jumping policy even when we're playing. He's learning.

If we could all be so lucky to have a silver boxer baby. He is a handsome old man. Stella is super cute too! I bet she had a blast! Thanks for sharing

Stella is adorable. Glad to hear that she had a good afternoon & even made a new friend. He's a handsome fella too. We've been working on the no jumping too. When we let the girls out of their kennels or someone comes over we make them sit & stay to get loved on. Generally after that they are fine, it's just the initial someone is home or someone new came in. They only get super excited (jump worthy) when the 5 of us come in or my cousin & her fiancee come over.

She was out like a light for the rest of the day pretty much. I talked to a guy with 2 boxers at home. He said a 5yr old and 6mo old. He thought since his older guy was getting a bit more mature, amd being an only dog for so long, it would be good to get another. He said that wasn't such the greatest idea, now he has two super crazy boxers to deal with. Haha.
I was surprised how many people knew about boxer quirks, only a few people kept asking if she was a pit.. when there were several there to compare too. a buddy named boneyard barry was petting guinness and then I came up with stella, and he goes "oh no! A boxer you dont have an off switch!" As hes getting attacked by her haha. Side note: barry was actually on tv in the first episode of Picked Off... kinda a spin off of american pickers. |

when we take ours to car shows and swap meets, we have a ton of people come up to us and show pictures of their boxers at home and always tell stories of theirs. Most people are really nice as mine have concerns about new people they meet. you get your typical ignorant person but most are so excited to see our 2 and share their stories.
