Default Puppy with Swoolen Lump on Throat.. help

I have a puppy with a lump under her chin, kinda on her neck, and it is soft in touch. It is about the size of a golf ball, after being larger last night. We gave her benedryl, thinking it may have been a bee sting, and that kicked her but. I am not sure what happened but she is totally not acting normal, doesnt want to play, doent have any energy, and is acting like she doesnt feel good. When she breathes she has a little shiver, like she is cold. SHe has eaten, and drank.

Does anyone have any odeas or expeienced anything similar?

I havent. *But take her to the vet asap. *That does not sound good at all. She probably has an infection of some kind. *Sounds like she has a fever too!

Call your vet, get her in right away. *Could be a reaction to something.

Please keep us posted!

I would definitly see a vet asap. Doesn't sound good, but I am not a vet. My friends dog had puppy strangles which started out with a lump by her neck.

I'd get her in asap. *If it is a bee sting, she could be having a reaction. *Scout got bit last year and needed a shot of cortisone and steroid to shrink his swelling. *He was bit on the nose and it looked like he had been through 9 rounds (no pun intended) and was lethargic too.

Hopefully it's nothing serious. *Keep us posted!

Ok, I know what i have to say is going to sound bad.. My girl Foxy aka FoxyDowntownSugaBrown, developed the same thing, in the same spot that you are talking about, directly under her neck. *Soft to the touch but kept on growing. *I let it grow or rather watched it for about 2 weeks. When I took her to the vet, they checked her over, perfect health, however they did a biopsy of that knot. *It turned out to be a tumor and they had to remove it. * She was in and out of surgery the same day, had stiches under her neck and had the stitches taken out about 2 weeks later. So it all sounds bad but it is not. *If you dont take care of it, then it could probably be dangerous to her health. *I hope this information was helpful
