My Mo also had a problem with a colar. We really only used it for walks and other outings.

Mine don't wear collars unless we go somewhere.
They don't have a problem with the material the collar itself is made of, but seem to have a reaction to the metal loop you attach the tags to and to the metal tags.
They get a pimple like rash there.
