Default Cutting teeth ---- again?

Just a quick question...... Lulu will be 1 year next month. * *I *thought* she had all her permanent teeth. * However, I've noticed that she's been chewing/wanting to chew in things more here lately. * *I felt and looked in her mouth and I *think* she's trying to cut her wisdom teeth? * * *They are way in the back.... I can feel them trying to come through. * *Do dogs have wisdom teeth like teenagers????? * *

Thanks!!

Dogs do not have wisdom teeth but they do have rear molars....They come in two sets just like with us.....The baby teeth first come in around 6 weeks and there are 28 babay teeth.....Puppies do not have molars because they dont need them at a young age.......At about four months they start to shed the baby teeth and they are replaced by the adult teeth...which is 42 teeth for adults and this somewhat depends on breed of dog.....The very last to come in are the last two molars and they generally come in between seven and eleven months.....Since they all shed teeth at a slight different time...then of course they will come in at a slight different time........SO.....Lulu is probably just a late bloomer and it is the final molars you are feeling! *If there is any question, just count her teeth and right now she should have 40 :-)

That is so matter of fact like you think it is no big deal to count a boxer's teeth. *Sharon, do you walk up to little miss Fiona and tell her to say ahh while you count her teeth? *I can 't imagine either of my kids being that cooperative.
