Are they actual pimples with puss in them or tiny bites? Either way best thing to do is keep them clean. You can also put some polysporin on, its an antibacterial ointment.

There was puss in them. I cleaned them with some hydrocortisone soap and it seemed to help a little. The one that is really bothering me is the one that is seems kind of solid. If you look at the top of the picture and find the second finger that is pointing down, about two inches down and a little to the right you can see it right on his lip. I didn’t notice it before, I feel pretty bad that I could have over looked it. Is it something that is going to go away or is it something the vet should see?

James is starting to get little pimples on his chin now, too. With Bibby, we'd use Proactive! Now I have some Rx gel called Differin (for my occasional use!) and I dabbed a bit on James's. It worked! I think maybe I wasn't washing his face well enough after eating. He hates "the washcloth surprise", as we call it.

Laila had something on her chin that looks like the pic you posted, and the vet said it was pyoderma, a staph infection. She took an oral antibiotic to clear it up. She was also eating out of stainless steel bowls, so I'm not sure what caused it.

Well I couldn’t take it anymore I had to find out what was wrong with Rowdy. I took him to the vet yesterday and I was told that it was basically a bacterial infection, didn’t get a scientific name. I was given some antibiotics and some whips called Pledgets, they are Oxy Pads for animals. What I got out of the conversation was that it is common and just try to keep their bowls and mouths clean. The bowls shouldn’t be to hard but it is amazing what they can get stuck up in those jowls and most of the time they don’t even know it is there!
