Default Help, my dog looks like he has a rash-warning pic of rear

So, sorry for the semi-gross pics, but could use some help. I was bathing Shamrock tonight for his dog show tomorrow and thought that he just might have some poop stuff around his rear, so I go to try and remove it, and it was almost like removing small scabs and started bleeding a little. He seems to be in no pain, but I do remember reading somewhere dogs have a high pain tolerance, so that might not be an indication.

He has never sat for us, so now I am wondering if this might have something to do with it. It looks like tiny scabs around his butt. Sorry for the gross out factor, but wondering if anyone has had a similar issue with their dog. I certainly want to get him to a vet if need be, but maybe there is a cream or something that can help.
Attached are a couple of pics, any feedback would certainly be appreciated.

I have no idea about this. The only thing I can think of logically and question are how are his stools? I wonder if they are sharp and causing tearing. If not, I wonder could it be a hemorrhoid? Either way I bet some soothing cream maybe like Desitin or Neosporin could help alleviate symptoms. Again I have no experience but logically it sound like something like that could help. Let me know what you find out. Hope to see you and a happy Shamrock on Sunday Best of luck!!

Has he ever had any anal gland issues?

No, his poops are fine too. I just assumed it was poop stuff around his rear and I was cleaning it off today and then I noticed it was bleeding. I wonder if I should pull his entries, but I'll see how it looks tomorrow and assess then. I hope it is nothing serious. He seems to be in no pain, but I don't want to remove any more of the scabs because I think it might bleed.

He has always had runny poops, no matter what type of dog food we give him. But, lately then have been a little harder, so I don't think there is a connection but could be wrong.

poor baby I for some reason want to suggest giving him 100% pure canned pumpkin. We use this as a staple in our house for getting the stools regular. It is fiber so it will regulate if they have runny or soft stool or hard stool. I have never seen this before either. Guess it wouldn't hurt to call the vet?

Could it be fleas? or his Anal Glands too full? Does this liquid come out when he poops? If their too soft they may not.

Hope your baby feels better soon!

I have read about all sorts of things this could be...so my advice to you would be take him to the vet as soon as you can so this area doesnt get infected Im sure they will figure it out and give him an Anti inflamitory and or an atibiotic after his exam. You are in our prayers! Keep us posted and hope you can figure this out! Newt once had a bump on her rear, just really red tho... I washed her with Antibacterial soap (that area) and rinsed real well, pat dry.. every night.

Awww poor baby. . .i know this sounds gross but could it maybe that he had some dried poop there and pulling it off, like if it was really stuck, could have caused it to bleed and swell a little. . .sorry. . .i tried to say it Forumly correct

I agree with Ky, put something on there for the little man and take him in to see the Doc after the weekend. . .hope he is ok >< ><
