Default Nina has red bumps on her belly and behind her back legs.

She has red little bumps on her stomach and behind her legs. I think it causing her some itch. In the back part of her legs i think shes scratching too much and is causing some scabs to form..

Her nose, mouth ears are totally fine. Shes happy as always like if she didn't have anything.

I have 2 guesses .

1. She is a noutside dog . So i am thinking this could be ant bites or some sort of insect bites.
2. I am crossing my fingers its not allergies.

Is there any way I can tell the difference between insect bites and allergies?

If not I am taking her to the vet tomorrow to get her checked.

Any Ideas?

I can take pics if you all would like

Ive found the problem.. Fleas! Im dipping her tomorrow in the morning in flea shampoo and some soap. And I am also going to buy a aloe vera cream for the itching.

I am buying some "Nematodes" to treat the garden tomorrow in the morning as well.

Has anyone used "Nematodes" or "Diatomaceous earth" before to treat a flea problem in the garden? Ive read both of these are not harmful to pets or humans. And where i read it said they were good.. But I want to know if someone actually tried this

I hope you found what has helped, i really have no help for fleas. One thought is that boxer's aren't outside dogs, they aren't built to be outside

I was going to say that Boxers are not outside dog's they get cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I like the 7 dust as well.

Yeah .. I know most people do not like that idea. She has a nice home to hide from the heat. There is always shade around my house to hide from the sun.. And water is always clean and always available.

I am in souuuuuuuth texas so winter isn't a problem. If it does get cold which it hasn't in a long while . They do get to sleep inside. Heat is a problem though. But like i said most of the yard is covered by shade all day. Half day one half the other the other half.

Same with rain they get put inside..

For some reason its ALWAYS windy here. I am not sure why but it is.

After all that I would love to have my dogs inside. But the wife is a different story...

There is a certain kind of diatamecous earth you can use that is quite effective..You cannot use the pool type..It's not available locally for me, so I generally sprinkle 7 dust in the evening, after the dogs have been out for the last time..Also you will need ot treat the inside of your house as well..Here's a link to the DE that has been recomended to me

We had a problem with Fleas at one point, and we had to treat the house, and the yard, and Miller, and EVERYTHING else. We were using Frontline, but it just wasn't working. We've been on Comfotis for 6 months now, and I've only found 1 flea since the transfer!
