Default Ares has a lump....could it be cancer..pics(some gross)

A couple weeks ago we noticed this spot on Ares foot. It has gotten bigger so we took him to the vet and they said to take it off. Here it is before.... Has anybody had anything like this?

And today after surgey....might find it gross...sorry

He has 7 staples and has to wear the cone... we sent it to see what if anything it is should have results in a few days. I hope its nothing

Awee.. poor baby. I hope all is ok too. Binga had a bump removed off her side. It was a benign cyst which are pretty common. Let us know what they say!

Since he's so young, and noting where it was, my guess would be a benign cyst called a histiocytoma. My boy had one almost in the same place (little higher on the leg) when he was less than a year old -- looked VERY similar. Second time I've said that today, but that would be my guess. I hope he recovers really quickly, try not to worry in the meantime!!

Freddie had one very similar when he was younger. It was situated between his toes - the vet removed it and it was benign. The came to the conclusion it was a hystiocitoma. Let us know how you get on.

Hey my dog is Ares too. He developed a lump on his foot about a year ago and they tested it for cancer and everything, which came back negative. We decided to just give him medicine, and wrap his foot up for a bit and after about 2-3 weeks it went away. Weird spots like that are pretty common in boxers I think...so I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Well..The results came in and all is fine. He's been doing good since the surgey. Whoever said to keep him calm for 2-3 days clearly has never owned a boxer!! I'm so happy that it turned out well, now we just have to wait to get his staples out next sat.
