Default Runny Nose - A little Snot Coming Out

Hi, my first post on here because I'm a little concerned about Brees.

He's 14 weeks old today, and has all of his vaccinations up to this point. Also got the Kennel Cough vaccine last visit ~ 2 weeks ago in his nose.

A few nights ago, not last night or the night before that, but 3 nights ago, he woke up in the middle of the night and sounded like he was gagging. Trying to cough something out, but nothing ever came out, and he only drank a little water. This hasn't happened since then, and it was the only time that it has.

Yesterday when we got up, he had a bit of a runny nose and sneezed a few times. I didn't think too much of it, but was a little concerned, he also had just a little extra eye gunk in the morning. Today when he woke up, his nose is still runny, with a little snot just outside of one nostril (this was there yesterday morning too). He also had a good bit of extra eye gunk this morning. I've wiped off the boogers and the gunk, and he seems fine, other than the runny nose. He's been sleeping maybe a little more the last couple days, but still wants to play plenty, and seems to have all of his usual energy.

I guess I could also add that right after he goes to sleep or gets up, it sounds like his nose is pretty runny, but it's only around these times, when he's been laying down for a while.

Anyone have any idea what this might be?

Also, I guess I could also say that the snot is mostly only coming out of one side of his nose and is generally clear/ very slightly yellow.

Thanks for the help!

The Kennel Cough Vaccine was actually a Nasal Spray... I think it was one or two mists directly in to his nose. That was on the 13th, so I feel like he may have had a reaction earlier than this if that was the cause...

Pups can get a nasal form of kennel cough, no cough but progressive white and yellow discharge from the nose. Though immunized for kennel cough, ours picked it up at the vet clinic from a few strays that had come into the clinic.

It was hard to get rid of. Finally they did a culture from a nose swab and prescribed the proper antibiotic. If this happens again, I would ask that the nose discharge be cultured right away. I'm not big on giving dogs antibiotics that won't target the infection. Hope things improve.
