Default Bump on Killian's belly, any advice?

Hello all, I'm new to posting in the forum but I've read quite a bit here since I got my European Boxer puppy "Killian". I have a concern about a bump on Killian's belly that my wife and I recently discovered within the past 12 hours.

I've attached a photo of the bump. For orientation purposes, to the far left center of the picture is his "you-know-what" and the big bump is obviously in the bottom center of the picture. The spot an inch above the bump is his belly "button".

The bump is not where his belly button is, so I didn't think it is a hernia that's sometimes common in dogs. It's also kind of hard to the touch. Killian doesn't react in the slightest when we touch the bump so I'm confident he's not in any pain or discomfort (very thankfully). From what I read so far in previous threads is that it sounds like it's a cyst. If I had to describe it, I would probably say it closest resembles a really big pimple. I wonder if anyone with veterinary experience could tell me what they think it is. My wife and I plan on taking him to the vet this weekend to get it checked out, but I was wondering if anyone knows exactly what this is or thinks this is serious enough to get checked out immediately. Thanks!

Hmmm I am not sure, but it does seem to resemble a cyst. Is it freely movable or does it seem to be attached to the underlying muscle? If it is freely movable then I would guess it may be a fatty cyst.. But again.. I am not sure and don't really have experience with these... IMO It does not appear to be inflammed so I think it can wait until your regular vet visit...

I know.. I'm not much of help here, hopefully someone will come along soon and offer you some better advice! I wish you the best of luck though.

Well, I'll have to check again to see if it's freely movable or seems to be attached. My wife took him with her to run a couple errands, so I'll get back to you once he gets back home.

Killian just got back home and I checked his bump again and it's definitely freely movable and not attached to any muscle or tissue.

It could very well be a cyst or a histiocytoma which is common in boxers. How old is Killian?

I think it looks cyst-like from the pic. Duke just had a histiocytoma (it has disappeared now within a month, yay!), but his didn't look like that...

I don't know what else it could be...

A bit young to have fat deposits...keep an eye on it.

I checked again today and it appears to be getting smaller now, so I'm sure that's a good sign. Either way, my breeder wants his vet to take a look at it just to make sure that it's not something that the other puppies could be having a problem with too. I just discovered a couple of fleas on him too, so perhaps that has something to do with the bump.
