Default Strange weeping red bump

Rocky was just at the vet on Monday.. and he did NOT have the bump pictured below.

I noticed it tonight right after we walked into the door from the dog park tonight.. So I snapped a pic. It looks very angry.. It's weeping and came from out of no where!!

Histiocytoma is what some people think it is... Guess we will find out soon. In the morning i'm calling the vet... Which by the way.. We have been there 3 times in the last 3 weeks for an unrelated issue... Geesh Rocky!

Fingers crossed it's nothing.. but I'm a little scared!! After I snapped the pic I went and washed his feet.. Wow the dog park was muddy!! And cleaned the bump.. It's wet and sticky.. weeping.. I've never seen anything like it before. He doesn't even seem to notice it's there though.

Thoughts???

Sorry hun, no thoughts, I'd be a little scared too, it looks mean! Don't lose any sleep though, you're a super boxer mommy & you're taking him to the vet tomorrow and there's nothing more you can do about it!!!

Good luck & let us know what it turns out to be!!

D & D are sending lots of smooches out to Rocky!!!!!

Think our pups have all given us a month or two like this just for kicks lol... Cheeky buggers :P

If it appeared that quickly I'm hoping it's nothing to worry about? Probably something that got in it- sting or thorn or something. And it's not bothering her so that's good too... Well, you'll know by tomorrow anyway!

Looks like a histiocytoma to me. And yes, they can appear suddenly. It probably popped up and then got a little roughed up at the dog park when Rocky was playing.

What is a histiocytoma?

Rocky - what are doing to your momma making her take you to the vet every week???

Please keep us posted Lisa.

It looks kind of like the histiocytoma Wrigley had. His was wet and sticky but I agree with Lynne that it might have gotten like that from the dog park. I hope that's all it is. Keep us posted.

I agree, it does look like a histiocytoma.

Hmmm... I'm not sure either. Keep us posted on what the vet says. Rocky boy, you gotta give your Momma a break!

Doesn't look very friendly whatever it is

It looks a lot like what Gus had as well. The vet tech that initially saw him thought it was an abscess but Gus still has it, although now it is pale pink and smooth and not as raised and a few hairs are growing back. I think it is a histiocytoma. If it isn't gone in a few weeks i'm taking him back in to have it looked at again and maybe aspirated.

Let us know what they say!
