Question Skin Tag ?

I found what looks to be a skin tag on Maggie. Everything I've read about them says they are basically harmless.

Does anyone know if they go away on their own? Or would it have to be removed to get rid of it?

Since she is due for her annual check-up soon, I'll have the vet look at it then, but I've attached a really crappy/blurry pic anyway. I can never seem to take a close -up and have it turn out clear

It won't go away on its own. Skin tags are just an overgrowth of tissue. From what I understand most vets leave them alone as they are usually harmless. Unless it's bothersome or suspicious looking I would expect the vet to leave it alone.

Brock has one on his shoulder, about the size of a tick. the vet said it's not even worth lancing it.

Cassie has a bunch of skin tags. They did not do anything with them and they don't bother her at all

My previous girl, Nikki, had alot of them. They won't go away on their own, but, they are harmless unless causing distress somewhere.

Olive has a few of them. When she has went in for various surgeries (Her eyes, her leg) our vet clipped them off. Pretty sure some of them grew back to the same size they were before they were removed. They are harmless.

Are they black in color? Jaxon had something pop up on his thigh and I hate it. I asked the vet to remove it and she said she would but she would need to put him under. So I am watching it and seeing if it gets bigger. It isn't a tick for sure.

Gouda has too many to count! None have become bothersome to her, but my Vet said if they should he would remove the culprit.

Although because Gouda has a skin type of lymphoma I do recommend you watch them and if you see any changes in color, size, fast growth, take her right in.

It's about one third the size of a grain of rice (but thinner). The tip is black, the part that is attached to her is normal skin color. It's just a tiny flappy thing.

Olive's looked like that too. Wish I was closer to (not only meet you and M&M) but show you how to take close up shots - Hehe!!
