Default "Thing" on Bella's head..

We noticed Bella has this zit like bump on her head.. Its missing hair where its at, and it pea sized.

I dont think its a tick, but I've also never seen a tick in my dogs.

Hoping to get advice before vet says its more serious than it is and makes us spend $$$ on meds. She has a check up next week.

Might just be the beginnings of a histiocytoma. They are quite common in dogs under 2 yrs of age. It could also just be an ingrown hair. I would just keep an eye on it. Maybe clean it with some peroxide and put a little polysporin on it.

My Shepherd mix gets bumps like that frequently. They look exactly the same as the one in your pic and the vet said they are just like warts.. I've popped a few of em and then clean em with peroxide and then they disappear. She has one on her head though just like Bella's and it is a persistent bugger. LOL.

Stanley sometime has them on his head too. It comes and goes.
Keep your eye on it though.

To update for anyone that searches this issue. Vet said it would go away on its own, like others said. It took over 5 weeks for this to heal..
