Default Possible hives??

Yesterday, my DH and I discovered a couple bumps under the skin of my 11 month old baby. Within an hour it spread all over her lower back and hind quarters. We gave her Benadryl and it helped a little. Once it wore off a few hours later there were 10 times the amount of bumps. We've continued the Benadryl (3 12.5mg tablets in the morning then again at about 7pm) to today, where they are now spreading to her legs and head. She's not lethargic, she's eating and drinking well, and going to the bathroom, except she hasn't pooped tonight after dinner at all (which isn't normal for her). She's also acting restless within the past hour, jumping up, not being able to get comfortable, etc. We've eliminated everything new we've done within the past few days (given her chicken broth with her Neutro Ultra, I rewashed every surface with soap and water I used disinfecting wipes on), and for dinner tonight I made her plain chopped meat with veggies and rice. The ONLY thing I can think of that can be causing this is she could have possibly eaten a walnut Friday, but would it take almost a full day to show symptoms? Her face, tongue, and throat aren't swollen or bothering her. We're definitely taking her to the vet first thing tomorrow, but is there anything I can be doing now to help her or make her more comfortable? She's our first pup on our own, and I know I'm probably coming off as a worried first time mom, but she's my little baby! Also, I know boxers are prone to chicken allergies, could the chicken in her dry food be causing this, even though she's been on the same food without problems for months?

Baking soda baths help relieve the itching tremendously. Just run water in the bathtub enough to go to about her knees and pour in baking soda. Just scoop it over her. Getting all of her wet - do not rinse. Once she's soaked in it for awhile, pat dry. That seems to help a lot. She may need some prednisone at the vet in addition to antihistamine that's in the Benadryl. My schnauzer is on nutro ultra, in fact that's the only thing she can eat. It's the holistic line of nutro, which is very good food, however it's full of grains. Dogs can and do typically develop food allergies over time, but in my experience the symptoms of the food allergies are digging at their face, or scratching themselves excessively, licking and chewing their paws and losing hair. To me, this sounds like a possible bee sting or other insect sting. Others can comment but I have no idea if walnuts are poisonous. My advice would be, if she is eating fine, no vomiting or diarrhea to not switch her food until u get this cleared up, so u don't create more probs , do the soda water bath, and then go to the vet today. At least the Benadryl is helping, so that is good

She doesn't seem to be itchy at all. I don't even think she knows anything is wrong/different with her
