Aww, poor Maggie. Don't beat yourself up as accidents do happen. (My fur babies are always under my feet.) Glad to hear that she'd been eating & has put some weight on. Good that you found a good vet & got her all taken care of. Getting rid of the worms will make her start to put on weight like she should. Give her loves & kisses from me & my girls. Hope her recovery goes smoothly.

hope she is better fast and accidents happen! now get some pounds on that girl! and she'll be fine and 700 really isn't that bad for a surgery and boarding for a few days plus it sounds like this is a better vet since he caught the worms and the other vet didn't it always pays to shop around for a good vet if you can find one that is reasonable and good all the better but never settle for cheap always look for best care for your pups

Got her home today. She was pretty alert at the vet. Came out walking on her leash and even out a little weight on her leg. Got her home and I guess it wore her out cuz she's been down for the count since 10. Would lay with her mouth open and stare into space. Couldn't tell if she was sleeping with her eyes open or what. Was alert again at 4 and is rearing to go right now so we've got her on lockdown on the couch with mom.
Bought some TOTW pacific stream and she's killing it. It's not puppy formula but I figured that adult TOTW is better than the pest puppy chow pedigree puts out. Ate her meds without fuss and went outside to use the bathroom. Have a dog pen put up in the den so she can rest without the toddlers attacking her when we're out of the room. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

And some rest and keeping quiet also helps to pack some weight on them...
Sally is a skinny bugger, but she packed some weight on when she was desexed (10 days of no walk and lesser activity) Glad to see she is healing up, I hope she learnt her lesson not to run under your feet. Sally is learning fortunately without having to break anything, just some sore toes or a sore tail or nose at times from being trod on. I am glad you didn't hurt yourself at the same time! both of you injured would have been miserable! |
