Ear Infection ???

I think my baby girl has an ear infection but i am really not sure, Her right ear is completely normal, but her left ear is all red inside and bleeding a bit. Ever since i noticed her ear red and bad " yesterday " Ive kept a close eye on it and have been gently cleaning her ear with cotton balls " baby oil " and toilet paper warped around my pinkie finger to get a little bit deeper. I have cleaned her ear today and yesterday and both times she did not cry or welp from me cleaning her ear, thats not to say its not infected but i am just not sure if its infected or is it that she was scartching herself one day and scratched her ear open and started bleeding and thats why its all red, And i have a bad nose so i can't distinguish bad dog smell from bad ear smell. But basically I am here just for some helpful tips that i can do for hear ear before i take her to the vet because its Remembrance Day in Canada this weekend so the vet is closed Sunday and Monday, So i can't call to make an appointment till tuesday !!!. And my other dog my male Bruno hes been trying to lick her ear alot so that makes me think if it is really infected i dunno just a nervous one i am i guess when it comes to my pups. Anyway any helpful tips much appreciated thanks.

It does look infected and tue should be fine to take her in but yes she needs it checked out and the others (dogs) can always tell first if one of them is hurting

Poor little girl probably does have an ear infection. Yes, I would take her to the vet. Hope it all goes well for you...

Hey all thanks for the nice comments at this point in time i am really sure it is an infection, early tuesday morning I will call the vet and booker her in asap will keep you all posted as whats going on. I will carefully clean her ear again today with more cotton balls.

It sounds infected. I wouldn't use baby oil to clean her ears though. A 50/50 mix of ACV and water should help.

And I wouldn't let your male lick it either. As cute as it looks I'm sure it won't help.

What are you feeding also? If you're feeding a grain inclusive good it can actually help make their ears infected.

grain inclusive good, like treats or there actual kibbles ( dry food ) ? I'm not sure as what you mean there. But I know my meat head step dad feed them Grog sometimes he calls it not sure what it exactly is , and i already lectured my mom about how she feed the dogs.

All they get from me is just there dry food, and if they are good a marrow bone treat or pig ear thats all. But my parents are retarded.

Oh and yes, i was told about the ear licking i always try to get him to not lick her ear, and the 50/50 mix of ACV and water I will definitely try and make a mix, what exactly is ACV and where can i get it ? and when i make a batch i na bottle should i start it off with warm water ?

ACV is apple cider vinegar.

I use Zymox otic HC for ears, it's anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal, so it's good no matter the cause of the ear infection.
It's made with enzymes and you can order it on Amazon

took her to the vet and got the proper medication for her,

she as a not bad ear infection so hopfuly it clears up soon.
