I agree, clean her face a couple times a day and use either stainless steel or ceramic bowls. Wash the bowls daily too.

I personally wouldn't use ceramic, but that's because when Maggie sees an empty bowl she slams her front paws on it and sends it flying and I know she would break a ceramic one.
