With the diaper/liner, I'm finding that everything is dry in the morning and I only have to throw away the diaper and do minimal laundry.

BTW, it's both sad and funny to see her in a diaper. She walks so stiffly with the diaper on and just looks at me like, "really?" But this way we both rest. The prednisone is helping her a lot - her appetite, weight, and spirits are all up. It's torturous, though, because I can't help but have wishful thinking that she can manage for months on the prednisone when the reality is that the cancer is already in her liver and she probably doesn't have long. I don't think I've ever been so attached to an animal and I have always been a pet lover.

Anyway, just wanted to post that and thank you for the help - it is invaluable!
I have been where you are as far as cancer...knowing your beloved pup has limited time.

One thing I would suggest and ask your Vet about is Milk Thistle. It did wonders for Gouda when she had liver damage due to the chemo.

Hugs to you and your baby! Cherish every moment and take lots of pictures/videos

BTW, we have been taking lots of pics! The videos are hard because it's so %*()#*% rainy right now. Both Gracie and Ship have been enjoying lots of chicken and beef of late too! I'm going to the butcher this week and getting some huge knuckle bones - she will just go nuts for that. She's a midwestern girl like me - meat and cheese and sweets, lol. I think Gracie's most favorite thing is snow, because we get it so rarely here (I'm in the Willamette valley of Oregon). I'm hoping it snows soon and we can go out and play. That's the only time I wish for snow, ha!

BTW, she is on milk thistle. Thanks again everyone! It feels good to write here.
