My little guy has both types of mange. Being treated by the vet, but he seems to have lost more hair after his first dip. Is this normal?

Yes, sometimes they look worse before they start to get better. Why dips? Why not do oral liquid Ivermectin? I would ask you vet about this.

He received both the Mitaban dip and an injection of Ivermectin/Dexasone. He is also taking Amoxitab. We go next week for another treatment. I will be sure to ask about the liquid Ivermectin. Thanks for the suggestion. My poor baby is miserable right now. We just adopted him and now we are taking him to the vet! Poor baby!

Ahhh if he is getting Ivermectin injections he doesnt need it orally. Your poor baby, he must be feeling so miserable right now. Do you have any pictures of him? Bless you for taking such good care of him, he is lucky to have been adopted by your family.

Aww...poor guy. My Murphy is currently getting injections for demodectic mange. She got her 2nd one yesterday. We aren't seeing anymore bald spots (thankfully). She finishes up her treatments on the 27th of December & hoping on that visit when they do the scrapings they don't find anything. We are switching her over to a grain free kibble as well. She's doing great with the switch over so I'm happy. Hope your little guy is better soon.

This my baby before he lost all of his hair. Now he looks like he got a bad hair cut. LOL. He is feeling much better today. He has the wiggle-dance back. Such a love bug! Thanks for all the well wishes. I will try the kibbles.

Sheila, your little one is so cute. Good to hear the wiggle dance is back. I love being greater by the wiggle dance.
