Crate training is going sooo well. He has yet to have an accident in it. Although he does keep peeing when I let him out right beside the back door before I can get the door open lol. Maybe I should open the door then let him out. thanks again for the help and advise everyone

We had to open the back door quickly and quietly first thing in the morning when we were house breaking our litter. If we woke one up prior to getting the door open we'd have babies piling up at the door with full bladders and excited to start the new day. Yes, if you can right now, always open the door prior to opening the crate door. As he ages he'll be better equipped to handle the wait.

Lol I think I learned my lesson this morning when he peed on my foot while I was trying to get the door open. We have a doggy door which he can get through but hast quite mastered yet
