My white boxer puppy has redness..
Hi everyone! My 4 month old White Boxer seems to have red skin.. She isn't itching or biting at her skin. But I just wanted to know is it something common among white boxers? She goes to get spayed in a week and a half, is it ok to just bring it up with the vet then?

I can't answer this question but I hope someone in here will be able to help you. I think white boxers are beautiful but living here in TX had me worried about getting one. I was afraid of the sun with summer time.

We are concerned for when we go to the beach in the summer. She will have to wear sunscreen, clothing, she's will be the best dressed dog on the beach. :-)

We have a white boxer also however I haven't seen this kind of redness in her. I think it wouldn't hurt to ask the vet it might just be an allergy.

That looks like an allergy. Has she been playing rough with any other dogs? When Buddha (my white boxer) plays rough he gets ''bruises'' under his fur on his skin.. and they kind of look splodgy like that. Or if he is extra hyper/excited or tired he gets very pink.
Also we put sunscreen on him before he goes out in the sun or his WILL get sunburnt (even in the winter). We use Epi-Pet sunblock.. it is supposably the only fda approved sunblock for dogs and can be bought off amazon. They are vey prone to skin cancer/sunburns. Keep us posted! Best of luck! |

She always plays with our other dog but they aren't that rough. She is still small enough to run under the coffee table and hit her body off the top of it. She's usually really red faced when she's tired. But the blotches have become more prominent in the last few weeks.

Kippah get red around her eyes and on the inside of her ears when she's beenplaying and running around but I havent seen the redness quite like the picture you posted.

I took Ellie to the vet, and they said it was juvenile mange. So she has some medication to take for a couple weeks, and she should be as good as new. Her spay had to be postponed a month until she is all healed.
