Murphy is almost 4 months old and when we were last at the vet she said he may have droopy eye syndrome. We notice his bottom eyelids kind of sagging when we take him for walks or when he's been playing for a bit. I've tried looking this up but couldn't find anything that we could to to treat it. He also has a few spots along his sides where it looks like he is losing hair. They look like balding spots where it's just getting thin. He goes to the vet next week but was wondering if I could get any input from past experiences or things I should ask about when he goes.

His eyes look normal for a Boxer. Boxers have varying droopiness of the lower eyelids. Some are very droopy exposing the inside of the lower lid and others have tighter lower lids.

As for his fur, if you can post a picture showing what you mean by "losing hair" it would be helpful. Boxers, in general, have a thin coat. But, if your pup is actually losing hair it could point to an underlying condition like mites (mange) or a condition like seasonal flank alopecia.

He is such a little cutie!

I remember when I first got Raven (she is now 7 btw) My vet at that time said that she would need to have corrective surgery to pin her eyes because they sag to much. I told them I would let her grow and decide at another point. Thank goodness I did because now her bottom lids sit perfectly against her eyes. If I went ahead with my vets recommendation at 8 weeks I would have one very Asian looking boxer!!

As for the bald spots, this could be mange and I would have a skin scraping done to see.

My Murphy has demodex mange & is currently being treated for it. You should get a skin scraping done & check it out.

You can't see it in that picture but after we take him for walks they droop enough to where you see the red if the inside of his eyelid

Rocco's do the same thing and the whites get really red - he looks posessed! Keep an eye on it (no pun intended)!

Baileys eyes do the same thing, especially after shes been playing outside for a while...they go back to normal after shes been inside for a while.
