So Bella Baby is now 16 months old and is 55 lbs,,, just a nice size... however her heart murmur did not go away and is between a grade one and a grade two.... was told not to let her get way too over excited and top really watch her for signs of it getting worse,, especially in the heat.... just another thing on the list of things for Bella,,,,

Poor girl! I hope she stays healthy for a long time! I am sure she is in the best home she can be right now. Happy to have a owner that cares so much. Happy holidays!

there really is no way to keep a one yr old boxer calm,,,, we want her to be happy and to enjoy life,,, is tough call right,, Crash's heart went bad at five and she had same kind of murmur.. so I think she needs to be happy and not restricted,,, until such time as we need to change that plan

Bono was born with a grade 2 murmur and we were told that there are no restrictions on his activity. He is 7 yrs old and he runs and plays with Tucker and Piper to his heart's content. They tear it up several times a day and he's been just fine. We'll be a little more cautious with the heat in summer but mainly because Tucker doesn't stop and will stroke out from the heat.

I'm so sorry to hear about Bella. My cocker Maggie had a heart murmur all her life.. bad legs too which I guess kept her from running so much.. but her heart was fine. We just kept an eye on it. She got really loud breathing at night some nights. She lived to be 10 and it wasn't her heart that caused me to put her down she just became crippled in the end and start dragging herself to get around. Try stay positive. Bella may still have a lot of healthy and happy years left :-) I think like any handicap, they kind of learn to cope. Maggie knew what she could and couldn't do. Some days she ran with the other dogs and some days she didn't. I hope Bella won't have any complications.
