My poor Titan had a bad day yesterday. It was his turn to go to Doggie Daycare. I had a busy day at work and didn't notice my voice mail message and also a message that went to my junk email (not sure why that happened) that came in approx @ 10:00 am but about 2:00 things were under control here at the office and I retreived my messages and there's one from daycare saying they had Titan crated as they saw 'green' gook coming from his eyes and were taking precaution to not infect the other dogs. I called and spoke with Leigh Ann and she thought it might be pink eye and could I come and get him but I couldn't leave work as we are extremely short staffed right now. Leigh Ann advised Titan was ok to stay until I finished work and she would let him out for potty breaks. I called our Vet and got an appt for last night. When I picked him up he was so happy to see me and Leigh Ann was feeling badly for Titan but could not let him interact with the other dogs until we know what was going on with his eyes. When I dropped him off his eyes looked fine but when I picked him up there was definitely greenish discharge running out of the eyes. Hubby & I took both boys cause I just figured if Kailer didn't already have it, he sure would in a day or two. Titan is 'reactive' to things he is afraid of (still working on that one) So long story short - Titan had to be muzzled in order for vet to examine his eyes and he also did a test to determine if there were any scratches or injury to the eye(s). No injuries but definitely pink eye. Kailer was so good with the vet and let him examine his eyes with no problem, Kailer also has pink eye. Vet explained it is so similiar to children being in daycare and schools that now dogs also get these infections too just like the KC. So now we are doing eye drops - once per eye every 12 hours. When we left the vet's we took the boys for a nice long walk and when we got home I gave them some of the 'special treats'. On a side note Titan now weighs 78 lbs and Kailer weighs 84 lbs

Poor Titan I hope he feels better soon. Since he sounds similar to how Gouda was at the Vet I thought I would share some natural remedies should he ever get it again
Herbal Remedies for Dog Pink Eye If you can determine that your dog's conjunctivitis is minor and there is no ulceration, try these herbal remedies. They are safe and they work! Herbal eye drops Put a quarter of a teaspoon of salt in one cup of distilled or filtered water. Add about 10 drops of any of the following herbal tinctures:
Herbal eye compress If you find it difficult to apply eyedrops to your pet, try using a compress. Soak a piece of sterile cotton in an herbal tea and apply it to your pet's eye for a few minutes, 2 or 3 times a day. One simple way to make an herbal tea is to steep a chamomile teabag in a cup of hot water. Let the tea cool and use it over the eye. Remember to throw away the cotton piece after use! Funny that you posted this, wed at puppy classes I noticed Wyatt had some nasty slimy greenish/yellow eye gunk. I immediately thought pink eye since my little cousin has it and was over Tuesday and both my nephews got it sometime Tuesday and all three kids interacted with Wyatt. When we woke up this morning his eye had crusties:-( and is kinda goopy but it's he normal clearish color. I know I won't be able to get to the vet today... Babysitting now until 9:15, then straight to work 10-6 ( vet only open until 6) not open on sat. Gonna call and see if they can call me in a rx to the pharmacy, if not ill try one of those home remedies if I can find the stuff. How are their eyes doing now?
