Totw can have canola oil in it- in some of the lines. It is a cheaper, crappier oil that some dogs are allergic too, even tho the food is grain free. Also may be allergic to the protein source depending on which one you are using. It looks like an allergy to me, ESP w the ear infection but I would def see your vet and have a skin scraping done

The dog could also have a potato sensitivity. My westie mix has to eat a grain free/potato free kibble to not itch to death. Unfortunately, it could be a number of things. It'll be trial and error without allergy testing.
