So it snowed here on Friday and Wyatt wasn't really out much. His first real snow! Yesterday (sat) i noticed under his chin was bloody and there was a red bump. It doesn't seem to bother him. I searched the forum and found a gazillion threads on these "red bumps" in most cases it was canine acne. I just wanted all of your opinions. He still has stitches from being neutered and has been licking at them. Thought maybe one poked him in the chin and made it bleed. On Wednesday I started to transition him on a new food, so I thought an allergy. Ears and everything else seems fine. Then I thought puppy acne. I tried to get a few pics... It almost looks like a blister and is red. Yesterday it was bleeding a little. On one of the threads someone mentioned something about snow and their dog playing in it and caused the acne. I noticed it after he got done running around the yard like a nut in the snow. Anyways, let me know what you think. If it is acne I read how to clear it up. My vet isn't back in their office until after new year, but I can always go to penny's vet ( who ill be switching too soon bc my vet is always so busy and they never called me back after I called multiple times on Friday!!!) plus they are 35 minutes away as compared to 2 minutes away and the vet live two blocks away and are good family friends! Anyways, pics aren't the best but they are something:-)
![]() ![]() ![]() Like I mentioned before he's licking his one incision and now there's one little spot that's red:-( put some neosporin on it and the inflatable tube thing... Hoping doing that today and tomorrow will heal it! Also next to that spot is a little blister bubble looking thing. I'll keep an eye on that as well.... Of course all this is going on when the vet is closed for almost two weeks! Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

Looks like it to me.
Was is soft fluffy snow you had or the icy kind? The icy kind could have irritated his skin, especially if he runs along with his face in it like he's scooping it up like a shovel. |

I would wash his chin with Warm ACV and water mix and see if that clears it up Buster gets these also and ACV is the only thing that clears up his chin we use metal bowls and wash them every other day not that the girlys leave their food in them long but his kibble is there for a minute most days
