Some of you already know about the problem my rat terrier, Willow, is having but has anyone else used the laser therapy for their dog with positive results? it's $20 per treatment and I have to go back every other day. that's about $60 a week. Is this going to be worth it? The last 2 treatments I have seen no improvement. We have her on a diet along with the steroids and the laser...she is not a happy pup.

I can't seem to find any, I went to the GNC int he mall above my store and she acted like she had never heard of it. How can that help repair a bulging disk? They have put her on a muscle relaxer now along with the steroid and it doesn't seem to be helping. Last night we laid under a heating pad for a couple of hours but she wiggles out of it after she gets too hot. I am so worried. I am afraid we will have to do the inevitable. She seems to be in so much pain sometimes. She can't even lift her head most of the day. She just looks up at you with her nose pointed downward. We just have a hard time understanding how this came about so quickly. She is not long like a dachshund. She is just short and round. We have put her on a diet. she gets a 1/4 cup at night and morning. that has cut her food in half. She weighed 12.5 lbs the other day at the vet. She needs to weigh about 10 at the most. that's over 20% of her body fat. I cried for the longest while we laid in the bed away from Dixie and the noise of the house under the heating pad. nothing seems to be helping her. I will look on line for the root you talked about.

We had laser therapy done with Maggie when she had a hematoma on her ear. They would drain the blood & then do the laser treatment. I didn't see where it actually did anything. I ended up taking her to another vet & they treated her with meds & drained the ears once and that time all was good. Granted she then had 1 ear stand up & 1 ear that bent at the tip.
