The staples do appear to be a little better at holding everything together, but some of them appear to be hanging on to almost no skin, so I'm not sure they will last.
We're keeping him sedated at home, but that hasn't stopped him from jumping on the couch and bed! Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App

Glad to hear he is doing good. I hope the MCT won't come back. I just hate tumors and lumps. They suck! I wonder what kind of ointment could be used on my babies incision on his neck. Tuesday will be 2 weeks where we get the stitches out. i just dont feel that they are ready to come out. or else im nervous. Ugh.
Do you have an updated picture of Achilles incision? What kind of antibiotics did they put him on? Bolt is on Clavamox. He only had 3 days of pain medicine, I think it was the Rimadyl that i have been reading on here isn't good. Maybe that's why she only did 3 days. I try to stay clear of any medicines in my body unless i have to absolutely take them. I know some people take daily ibprofen and advil, which is so bad for you. Well Happy and healthy vibes from Bolt and I to you and Achilles Keep us updated on your healing. i feel like we both had our babies surgeries around the same time. Achilles is way bigger though. BYe for now.

Hang in there, Achilles will get better. I know it is a very trying time for you and your baby. The sedatives do work like magic as it does keep them from being "Boxers" and as we all know the quieter and less energetic they are the faster the healing will be

Thank you to everyone for your speedy healing wishes!
Achilles is on Cephalex (antibiotic) 2, 500 mg tablets, twice a day. He was on Tramadol (pain killer), but only for 3 days during the first surgery. His sedative is called Acepromazine. He takes one tablet a day. Here is an updated pic of his incision site. This is after 8 days (second surgery), but of course he had some staples added yesterday. It's a bit graphic, sorry. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App

No, no! Thank you! I'm a new boxer mom and I didn't know. The same warning is on the Canadian Boxer Club's website....my husband is now scouring the web.
I'm disappointed with my vet. She used this drug for his two surgeries as well! Oh, and she is a Boxer Mom!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App
