Red area on lower lip - Page 2

Yes he does have a lot of whiskers! Lol

We'll try wiping his mouth down after meals and see if that helps.

What do you use? A baby wipe? Wet paper towel?

yes wash or wipe after eating. It sure is very pink. Is that part of his lip usually white? Because if it is black and the irritation turned it pink, it may be a different story....

That part of his lip was black like on the other side. Now it's pink. Yesterday it looked a bit more red but I cleaned it with a wet paper towel this morning and the redness has faded.

Oh ok...hmmm, keep cleaning it and see how it goes....keeping fingers crossed that it is just acne

It doesn't really look like acne to me.

Could he have scraped it on something?
Or does he sit and chew on any particular toy?
Looks kind of like he just rubbed it raw.

Yes it does look raw to me.

Could it just be changing colours? His mom had pink areas on her lips.

But I don't think that's it. He has been chewing on his antler a lot more the last few days. Maybe that did it?

Tha antler could have caused it. Maybe put it away for a few days.

Yes we're thinking it may be from his antler. He's been chewing on it extra long the last few days so we're taking it away for a while to see if that helps.

Definitely looks irritated. I would keep an eye on it, could be anything from a simple irritation to an infection. If it doesn't go a way on its own, see your vet.
