Red area on lower lip

So we just noticed Duke has a red area on his lower lip that looks sort of irritated. Is this what they call puppy acne?

It helps if you use metal bowls to feed and wash them frequently. From what I've heard bacteria can grow on plastic.

Sorry I'll post a pic later (at work now). It just looks raw and irritated but doesn't seem to bother him when we touch it.

I will be getting stainless steel bowls. I wanted porcelain but I'm afraid he'll break them.

I bought my dogs personalized porcelain bowls for Christmas and they are fine with them. Mind you neither of them throw them across the room... I had a pug that used to do this if her bowl was empty lol.

Well, Duke doesn't really bother with his bowls either unless he's eating or drinking... so maybe he would be ok with them too.

Ok so here's the spot on his lower lip. It was all black before this spot appeared.

Dykes got a lot is whiskers. Lol. Maybe wipe his face after eating. My mo would get the food on his nose and chin and cause irritation. I had to hose him down after every meal
