Default Tape worms in puppy

My fixer upper puppy's list of issues just keeps growing!! A little back info:

Luke is an 11 week old pup we got 4 days ago. I knew the people who had him prior were not caring for the puppies like they should be and I was not expecting a show quality dog or anything. He was just a free pup. We've been checking shelters since November for a friendly Boxer with no luck, so we really just wanted to give a dog a home and have a playmate for our kids. SO, we got this skinny, timid little Boxer boy. He weighed 9lbs at 11 weeks old! He already looks so much better in 4 days. As soon as he came in, I immediately started treating him for pretty much everything with 2TSP of diatomaceous Earth daily. Today he began to poop out tapeworms. Some looked dead, some were moving so I guess we're making progress at ridding him of those yucky things.

I knew what to look for but have never actually treated this, when should I expect them to be gone?

I've never treated for them personally, but I've heard adding grape seed extract and crushed pumpkin seeds helps get rid of them faster. I don't know how long though, sorry.

You should treat for 14 days with the DE. If that doesn't clear them then I would introduced grape seed extract.
