I am wondering if Life Gold is a reputable company and product to enhance the quality of my sweet girl's life. She is a 10yr boxer, with one stage 3 mast cell removal and a scary stomach ulcer episode. She now has a growing mass in her belly/pelvic area. She takes Benadryl and Pepcid daily. She is still eating and drinking and eliminating well. Her thirst has increased which makes me suspicious of cancer metastisizing to lymph nodes. I can feel some little "grapes" in her armpit areas.

Im so sory you are going through this, I have been there myself with my Gouda. Have you read any of the threads in the holistic care section? There are several on herbs/supplements? There is one on natural pain management.
If you have Facebook I would recommend joining the Pet Cancer Support group. They have a wealth of information there in the documents section and all the people that belong to that group are or have been going through what you are now. It sounds like you are on the right track with the diet, Pepcid and Benadryl. Why is she on Rimadyl? Is it for her hips? Another site with great information is Canine Cancer | Dog Cancer Information | Georgia's Legacy It is run by Kerry Malak who is also a member of the Pet Cancer Support Group. She lost her English Bulldog Georgia a few years back to cancer. Another good site is Dog Cancer Blog : Free Information & Help for your dogs cancer from the Dog Cancer Vet . Dr Dressler is a canine oncologist and has written a great ebook Dog Cancer Survival Guide. I recommend anyone that has a dog with cancer should read his book. As far as Life Gold I really dont know anything about that from a personal perspective although someone in the Pet Cancer Support group might. I personally never used any of the "all in one" type remedies. I just bought the herbs and did my own thing, made my own protocol for Gouda. I wish you many more happy days with your pup and if you need any help feel free to message me Hugs to you!

Sue, I'm just curious. Does Pepcid (Famotidine) work as well as Tagamet (Cimetidine)? I know they're in the same class of drugs, but all the protocols I've seen are for Tagamet.
I'm wondering because Tagamet is EXPENSIVE (I have two dogs on the protocol). Walmart sells the generic which is much cheaper, but they're typically out of it (I wonder why...LOL) and I haven't been able to find the generic anywhere else--not at Walgreens, CVS, or any of the grocery store pharmacies. When I do find it, I clear the shelves 'cuz I don't know when I'll find it again. If the Famotidine works just as well, that would solve the problem as every store carries it.

If you have a chance, that would be great! If the cimetidine were more readily available, it wouldn't be a big deal, but sometimes I have to try a couple different stores before I find any. It's just getting to be a hassle.

To answer your earlier question, Kayla is supposed to be on rimadyl for her arthritic knee. The joint is very thick and stiff and she favors her leg tremendously. That poor leg has taken a beating. The MCT was removed from the same side on her butt/hip. I'm looking for other anti-inflammatory options. Thanks again. I'm so paranoid now. I just constantly assess her, wondering how she's feeling, is she in pain, is she breathing heavier than usual... Sigh...

Yes I totally understand. Anyone that has been through a serious illness with their pup or heaven forbid lost one is always looking for something else to pop up.
