I swear bedtime is like a game of Tetris. We all fit with just the right configuration. Arm here. Leg there. Ha ha!

Mwahahahaha! I can so relate to this! Even last night, I went to bed early so dogs got some cuddle time before daddy came to bed. However, it's difficult fighting off five dogs that all want to be touching mom when in the bed. I think I fell asleep with Patch sleeping on hubby's pillow, his front paw in my face, Tag laying across my knees, Pumpkin with her head on my chest, cold nose touching my neck, Blaze was somewhere by my feet and Flash was laying across Patch. I had to draw the line when Jr. came and asked to get up and thank goodness Button was in the living room sprawled on the couch. My babies are loving me to death tehe.

Callie loves to make bedtime difficult! Either she lays right in the middle of the blankets or she curls up against my chest and consequently suffocates me with her back.
I also don't understand how a dog that has no problem sleeping on the floor refuses to sleep on the bed unless she has a blanket underneath her. The mattress is already comfier than the floor, so why does she need to steal my blankets, too?!

Sally goes to sleep on the bed when my hubby goes to be and then when I am ready to go to bed I put (Carry) her in her bed in the laundry...
Well last night I went to take her to bed and I couldn't find her, not in bed with my husband, not on the couch, not in the beanbag, not on the kitchen floor.. not a big house so these are the only options... So i search harder in the bedroom (trying not to wake my husband who had to be up at 5.30) and I found her under the bed, right in the middle... How the heck could I get her out?, she has to wiggle and squirm just to get under there! I considered leaving her there, but last time we did that we got a 4.30am wake up call with a pounce and a face lick and she is now 10kg heavier... So I didn't want to risk this on a work night... I ended up tempting her out with Ham, I got a whole leg from work last week, Sally has taken a liking to ham! She REALLY is going to get stuck under the bed shortly! (I think the next growth spurt will do it!) |

LOL...Pheona sleeps under the bed till between 2 & 3am. Then she jumps in bed with us but she doesn't lick or pounce on us. She just curls up between us and goes back to sleep. Reminds me of a little kid climbing in bed with mom & dad. Now when my husband is away for work she sleeps with me the whole night.
