Hi there, we also own a white deaf boxer and we almost called her Aspen! In the end we went with Nevada (meaning snow capped mountains) Aspen is a beauty! Nevada is coming along great with signing do you sign also? And do you find that's aspen is alot more connected to you as a result of her deafness - as Nevada does worry if the whole family is not together, for instance if one of the kids gets to far ahead while walking she will whine and bark until we catch up. Sorry if I've bombarded you here I've not had much luck with finding many people in kinda the same situation here in the uk
Things have finally started to get back to normal for me. I am doing really well! Lexi is still with my parents, I just moved into a big house, with a beautiful yard that allows dogs so the game plan is to bring her back up here with me when I go home for the holidays. It's been over 4 months since I have seen her, and I can't even begin to describe how hard that's been.
Ahhh landlords. We've been really foutunate (we rent too and have 5 animals), but I have heard some horror stories. Sounds like the condo will be better for you and Aspen, although it's can get tough with a roomate.
When is least up then? Is the condo still in the same area you're in now so you can keep all your clients?
How does Aspen like the cold weather/snow?? With all the outdoor excercise does she need to wear booties? Have her nailbed's ever bled from rigorous excercise in the cold weather?
I'm happy that I'm able to help! I felt so helpless and trapped when I first got Aspen because of her behavioural problems, so I am happy to try to help others who are in the situation I found myself in!
