Default any luck with pit bull / boxer hybrid?

Hi I'v had a boxer before and he was the best dog anyone could ever have. (RIP rocky)
I've decided instead of getting another purebread to get a hybrid. Rocky had many gum tumors
and it bothered me it may have been a function of not enough genetic variation in this breed.

Anyways i got yesterday a boxer/red nose pit bull female and a boxer/blue nose pit bull male.

Is this an ok mix? Does anyone have any experience with this mix?

Thanks!

I've never had any experience with this mix. Did you adopt the puppy already? I'd love to see pics.

The Boxer X we adopted from the pound is probably a Boxer/pit or Boxer/American Bulldog.

Great gal! I love pit bulls in general. I've dealt with them since I was a kid.

Raised right they are better than Labs as family dogs, IMHO.

In general, mixed-breeds have better overall health.

Mario

BTW- Cross-breed or mixed-breed, not hybrid (mix of 2 similar but different species)

I worked with a pit/boxer cross once, and she was such a doll! *She must have been a red nose cross, although that has no effect on temperment. *She was the sweetest little lady, loved to learn and was as happy as they come. *She had no health problems, other than a very petite tail that kept breaking so they ended up docking it. *I'm sure both your babies will end up being amazing dogs, and I would also love to see pictures! *I love blue noses, is he actually blue?

If we say no, are you going to return them? *

Welcome to the forum! Lots of helpful advice here. *I see you mentioned you got both a male and female....you wouldn't be thinking of breeding them would you?

Indy is the brown male(blue pit/boxer), Gracie is the spotted female(american rednose pit/boxer).
Keep your finger crossed for me and hope they get along. My last pair of of brothers lab/pit mix did not get along.
Hopefully with the friendliness of the boxer on their side these two will be good mates. So far
they r very friendly. However they are both teething and gnaw alot, sometimes each other when
im around lol

also any tips and how to keep them happy together?

sorry im a noob with pic's dont know how to post them
