Does your vet board dogs? While it might not be a 5-star resort, it should be a clean and safe place. That's where we board our dogs when we have to. The kennels are a decent size for large dogs and they have double kennels so multiple dogs from the same family can stay together if they want to.

We had to find a place back at the end of May to board Rocco and my daughter's boxer. We popped in to three boarding places here in town and got a tour. None of them thrilled us. I mentioned to my co-workers that I was looking for a place and one of them recommended lady who runs a boarding service out of her home. It was just what we were looking for, so if you haven't already, check with your friends/co-workers. Maybe one of them will know of a place.
