Right now Maverick has been on chicken, rice, with a table spoon of pumpkin and yogurt. The runs have stopped. His stool isn't solid, but getting there. He has been on his chicken diet now 4 days and I plan to keep him on it for another week.
One question, Is it normal for rice to come out whole in his stool? It appears the rice is not digesting at all. I just changed the rice from brown rice, slow cook, to minute rice. I know the nutrition is different, but was unsure whether the slow cook brown rice was too much for his tummy. |

That's pretty normal. I've had to give my girl boiled chicken and brown rice before and when she went to the bathroom her stool contained whole pieces of rice. Things like rice and corn are not easily digested by many dogs.
