I saw these and my concerns were... Chewing and peeing... My dogs don't do either although Nikki does have her crate in the middle of the room when I come home. I just didn't know if it would hold up and still look good compared to a metal crate. I also have my dogs in 48" crates so they can move around. I feel bad crating them if they don't have all the space. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on these too! They look much nicer

Those are cool but I've never seen them where they look big enough for the dogs. I do however have the large wire kennels (from Petsmart) for both of my girls. What we did was went & got 1/2 inch plywood, cut it down to the size that would fit on the top of the kennel. Then we sanded down the sides & stained it to match (well as close as we could to match) our furniture. We didn't put legs on it, we just laid the plywood on top of the kennel. Pheona's kennel is out in our dining room so I have my coupons, an organizer, pencils & pens on hers as well as I can move my laptop on it if needed. Murphy's kennel is in our living room & hers actually serves as an end table in there.

I did see one that was basically a metal crate and the table slips over it. So you could technically even build a table to fit around your metal crate if you're handy. This one says it's good for "Dogs up to 38-inch Long and 29-inch Tall" so it's pretty big!

Lynne ( Gypsiemouse) made a cover to go over one of her crates. Looks really nice.

I don't think Horatio would go for that one bit. LOL. he likes the openness of his crate and I dunno if he'd enjoy being covered like that... It is a really great idea though!!! I'm sure most dogs would love it!

Yes, we don't have much room in our living area so I thought this would be a great space saver! However, we already have a crate so maybe I can get hubby to build a cover or table to fit around it (he's handy like that)

I love those crates! But Quinn would have it chewed up in a matter of hours I'm sure.
