Came home at lunch after being gone for only about 3 hours to work to give Bruno his lunch and potty break (he's about 11 1/2 weeks). He did a normal pee/poo before lunch and while he was eating I noticed it. Poo around the outside edge (in the bars) and the bedding in his crate. He's never done that before except for one time the first week when he was overexcited from not wanting to be in the crate.
I cleaned up everything visible in the crate itself, sprayed with some nature's miracle and wiped down, then sprayed again and let it sit for 30 minutes before wiping up excess spray. I'm hoping I got it all because I don't want him associating crate with a potty place of course. The bedding got washed in hot water with detergent and oxyclean. Just wondering what effect this might have on potty training. I was a bit shocked. Usually he can easily go 3 hours or so when he's just resting while we're out of the house at work. The fact that he went as soon as I got home means it probably happened maybe shortly after I left for work |

Yep, accidents happen. Just make sure when they do you continue to clean them up like you did this time. Murphy is 4 months & she will still have the occasional accident. They are few & far between now.

He's just a puppy still and accidents happen. My 4 month old still has the occasional accident as well.
Just make sure you thoroughly clean in when you find it. Just like you did. Natures Miracle is a wonderful product. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

Thanks everyone. Yeah we still get the occasional accident outside the crate, but this is only the 2nd in it since that first week when he got over anxious during our crate training attempts. So I was just pretty shocked since we try to make sure he's on a good potty schedule so the crate accidents have as low a chance as possible of happening. I guess he just got a sudden urge or maybe he was just really upset that I had to leave for work and it was more of an anxious thing.
