Hey everyone,
My girlfriend and I brought our boxer puppy home about a month ago and at this point his potty training is progressing. However a few weeks ago we put him in the crate while we did some housework and noticed that he peed in his crate. We took him outside to pee n cleaned the crate only to find he peed in the crate again within 2 mins after we put him back. Again we took him outside, cleaned his crate and put him back. He ended up peeing his crate about 4 times in 15 mins. The last time we let him sit in it for about ten to fifteen mins because we thought in his head peeing in his crate=getting out. Since then he's been good in the crate with minimal accidents. However yesterday he started again with the constant peeing. Twice he peed in the crate within ten mins then I put him in the kitchen where he peed about 5 times in about 20 mins. Both days he had this constant peeing issue we had taken his water away so it wasn't that. And I don't think it's a health issue because last nite and today he's fine. Anyone else have an issue like this? If so how did you handle it and any advice would be much appreciated. Thnx. Anthony |

I would get him checked for a UTI. Peeing that much isn't really common.

I don't think it's a uti because serve had him over a month and it was just two random days. The rest of the time he's been fine. I think it's a behavior issue because both times he was in his crate or gated in the kitchen n he wanted to get out

Maybe he's learning that peeing in crate will get him a chance to get out of the crate and go outside. *lightbulb!!!* oh yes I do believe that is it!

No, potty training doesn't happen in a month. I'm going to knock on wood as I type this but we haven't had an accident in the kennel or in the house in about 3 weeks now. I hope I didn't jinx myself now. LOL Also, what are you cleaning the kennel with??
