I took Moxie to petco today for some socialization. She plays with my family's husky mix a lot but piper mae is such a push over that Moxie just beats her up. so I wanted her to have some experience meeting strange dogs. She did GREAT! Besides being overly hyper and excited when meeting employees she was very well behaved. She made good friends with a corgi puppy that she was surprisingly gentle with and met and was slightly ambivalent to a setter girl. I'm so proud! Gives me hope that when the dog park u opens up she won't be the bully. :P

Sally gets so excited at the pet shop with employees greeting her that she wees everywhere! even if I get her to wee before we go in...
She is 8 months I am still hoping the excited wee will stop! not that I rouse on her, I always just move her away calmly and clean up the mess... at one pet store the employees warn others that if they want to greet her they have to clean up the mess... most are willing to risk it cause she is so cute!

My girls love trips to the pet stores. We've never had either of them potty in the store other than the one time when a dog larger than Pheona scared her & she peed. I felt so bad for her. Even our trainer commented that Pheona had never done that. I think she was more startled than scared. I love getting them out to socialize but what I hate is people who don't understand how boxers play. There was a girl at the vets office today that had her dauchshund/lab mix in there that commented on Murphy being mean. I told her that she isn't mean, that is how she plays as she is a boxer. Then the one girl behind the desk kept saying Murphy's name & she couldn't see her. It was funny watching Murphy trying to figure out who was calling her.

It's funny that you say your husky mix is a push over. It's the same with us as well. Lexi is almost 9 months old and Tessa my husky/boarder collie mix is 2 1/2 and Lexi bosses poor Tessa around all the time! Lexi is the boss for sure. I feel bad for Tessa sometimes!

Serena

We took Serena to Pet Smart for the first time last Sunday. She did very well in the store, even better than I hoped she would. She did get very excited but not hyper-excited. She loved meeting the employees too. The socialization she received in puppy kindergarten really helped.
