He's a boxer. When I was at a local beach this past summer I overheard a women say "look at that boxer-pitbull". The nerve of some people.

Well, Hoss Is a mix and it is funny, I have had people tell me he is full boxer, people tell me Mastiff/boxer/ pitbull/boxer, St Bernard/boxer, bulldog/boxer, bingo... correct. But they all agree, he is a handsome man, LOL. Good manners should still be taught in school.

I have the same happen with Gabby. The vet said she is pure boxer but I question it. She's way too big and too lazy. Lol. I have had people say she's boxer/mastiff, boxer/great Dane. I don't care what she is. She's just my sweet girl.

She's prob just confused bc he doesn't look like a traditional boxer, "flashy fawn". With Tyson's coloring she prob had no clue what the heck it was !!! And yes he looks all boxer to me...

In profile, Gibby's nose seemed so long when he was a pup that even I questioned whether he was a full boxer. And then, people would question it because he "didn't have the jowls."

Well, fast forward just a matter of a few short weeks and there was no mistaking him for what he is (although some people will insist he's a pitbull

) It's really crazy how fast they change at that age.

I agree with what someone said about the stripe running down the nose giving the elongated illusion.

I think boxers out of all breads have the most variances. Because originally they came from two different dogs if I'm not mistaking. Some have short faces and others are longer. My male has a short snout, but my female is longer. Anybody have inside why?

Don't let people like that bother you. I am not sure how I would've reacted, but I definitely share your pain, and I'm all worked up now.

He doesn't look mixed at all... But even if he was, shouldn't make a difference.
He is your loving baby and that's all that matters!
