I know I've seen a similar post on here but it i didn't want to hop on an old thread.
Today I brought my little guy with me to petco to pick up some more dog food. While standing in line, a lady approached me and asked if my dog was a boxer. I replied proudly that he was. She then asked me if he was 100% boxer & again I replied proudly that he in fact was a full breed boxer.. She then told me that my dog was funny looking & that there was no way that he is all boxer. She might as well have smacked me in my face lol I would have respected her more. Which brings me to question.. I know my Tyson has a little bit of a longish snout but I would like to believe that every boxer is different in their own special way and maybe that is just something that he'll grow into. What do you guys think? Does he look 100% to you guys? I guess I just need some reassurance otherwise this is gonna bother me all night ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

So she had the audacity to ask you if he was full boxer and then challenged you when you confirmed? Wow.... Thats why I really do like my dogs more than most people.

I had a lady do the same thing to me yesterday at the mall and I wanted to slap her. That's so rude. Then when I told her I've bread over ten litters of boxers, and know when it's a boxer or not she still tried to argue with me otherwise

He looks all boxer to me. Like it was said above, they go through funny growing stages. I've had people ask if my Pheona is pit bull & I've been asked if Murphy is lab or boston terrier. Our dog trainer brings her 6 yr old german shepard to class with her. In the middle of class one day she had someone approach her to see what kind of dog he was. Her response was he's a GSD. Well the person looks at her as serious as he could be & says...are you sure?? She looked at all of us in the room & says nope, he's a poodle. We lost it in that room.

He looks all boxer to me as well. The white stripe leading down to his nose acts as an optical illusion and makes his snout look longer than it really is. That said, even with that illusion, I don't think his snout looks too long.
